This is my first blog post in probably 12 years. The last one I wrote was on Blogspot — if anyone even remembers what that is.
I was never big on sharing my thoughts with the collective void known as the Internet. As time passed, I became even less inclined to do so.
That said, I do have thoughts, and some of them are worth saving. Not for humanity — gods forbid — but for myself. There is also a persistent opinion that having a technical blog can help with a job search. I’m skeptical, but I wouldn’t mind being proven wrong.
So what is this blog?
First of all, it’s not really a blog. It’s more of a diary. If I ever happen to have a thought that seems worth preserving, there’s a chance I might post it here.
There are no comments. I’m not doing this for other people. The whole “social” part of the internet is overrated and, honestly, mildly terrifying. If you think I’m wrong, feel free to send me an email. Emails are great: they filter out trolls, bots, and people who can’t explain what they mean. Emails are also very easy to ignore, so there are essentially no downsides.
Anyway, that’s all I have to say for now.
