Zed's dead baby, Zed's dead

I started using Zed editor about a year ago and it was a delight. Fast, svelte, no nonsense text editor with just enough support for LSPs and debugging that it can be usable as a programmers tool.

I've updated Zed today and half my screen is taken by some AI bullshit, threads or something, which I am not going to use. Fine, at this point Zed is 80% AI bullshit, which I don't use, but at least I can ignore it. But these "threads" I cannot turn off.

Oh, nevermind, I found how to turn it off. Yes, I am writing this simultaneously with trying to use Zed.

Anyway, at this point I have to reconsider whether I am going to continue using Zed. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing in the last couple of months worth of releases was of any use to me. The last thing that was geniunely useful was devcontainer support. I have to admit that Zed is not the editor for me, the team behind it has a vision and I do not share that vision.

Well, back to VSCode and forcing myself to use Neovim.
